Yoga with Janka

Janka’s yoga can be simply described as meditation in movement. Her practice and teaching focuses on the movement of body, breath, and awareness, as a way to discover and dissolve energy blocks in the body.
She encourages exploration, authenticity and freedom; and moving away from an emphasis on commanding our bodies to attain the "perfect pose" to cultivating deep listening, curiosity and natural respect toward our bodies and ourselves.
Janka is a certified and registered yoga instructor at the 200 hour level with Yoga Alliance.She is currently working on her 500 hour certification with her mentor Mary Paffard.
About Janka
Janka graduated from the Tennessee Institute of Healing Arts in Chattanooga, a 1000 hour Massage and Neuromuscular Therapy program. She continued her study with Tom Mayers (Structural Integration), John Barnes (Myofascial Release) and is currently studying Ortho-bionomy with Scott O’Shea. She brings to her bodywork practice an extensive background in meditation and movement therapies, including dance and yoga.
She is a certified Yoga instructor, and teaches group and private classes at Clearspring Yoga Studio. She also leads meditation and body awareness classes for Focus Healthcare: Chemical Dependency and Addiction Treatment Center.
